Monpirri says on Mar 28, 2008, 18:44: Nonsense, all these BS; legends, stories and witches are products and exports of Europe to Latin America. Annette Taddeo for US Congress 2008 |
Desideria (Moderator) says on Mar 29, 2008, 01:13: Not so fast, Monpirri, Many of these legends are of Colombian origin, like El Hombre Caiman, El Carrao and the most famous of all Colombian legends, El Dorado! The rest are local adaptations of worldwide legends and myths that people told each other in the olden days, before TV was invented. They're an old equjivalent of your Caracol telenovelas....nothing sinister. "I have opinions of my own, strong opinions, but I don't always agree with them."-President George W. Bush |
kat1 (Moderator) says on Mar 29, 2008, 02:12: jajajja desi those videos are funny, engage brain before opening mouth |
Monpirri says on Mar 29, 2008, 09:04: Yeap, stories such as El hombre caiman and El Dorado are original Colombian creations but the overall infatuations with the witches culture or similar evil stories or legends in Colombia are products that arrived via Europe where all began, especially from central Europe. Annette Taddeo for US Congress 2008 |
Desideria (Moderator) says on Mar 29, 2008, 11:29: Ok, let me try to explain it one more time: these myths and legends come to us from a time when (caracol) telenovelas didn't exist yet, so people had to amuse each other by telling stories, preferably scary ones....so the equation is a person from the fourteenth century A.D. likes ghost stories= monpirri likes Caracol Telenovelas. "I have opinions of my own, strong opinions, but I don't always agree with them."-President George W. Bush |
Monpirri says on Mar 29, 2008, 12:21: You meant Hollywood to all the people from the world and in Colombia novelas to all the people on this side of the continent and now in your continent! Annette Taddeo for US Congress 2008 |
