From personal experience, both females and males take advantage. And the family tie-in, beware. Don't be stupid. Look out for requests of money/gifts. Once they know your hooked, they got you. They are clever and know how to play psychological games. I don't know of one positive experience with friends having been involved with a Colombian male or female. All those that have are happily separated, of course after paying the cost of years of mental anguish of being robbed.
