Colombian girlfriend, should I be suspicious

Old story, boy-meets-girl in Colombia, they get stars in their eyes, things get hot and heavy... well, more than once actually... and she doesn't want me to wear a condom. Last time I was with her, I put a condom on anyway but the damn thing broke. Not during her fertile period, I'm pretty sure she couldn't have gotten pregnant by me on any occasion, and she says she doesn't want kids... BUT... hypothetically speaking... if things went sour, could she make trouble for me? Get pregnant by somebody else and stop me leaving the country? I'm here for a few months.

She has photos of us in bed on her cellphone, that's what started me thinking....

"How can you know for sure?" Simple, you can't.

The most important thing is for you to visit a doctor to make sure you did not pick up any STD!

Good luck!

The most important thing is that she doesn't know your name, phone number, where you live, etc.
If she does and gets pregnant, call the boys and make her abort. Simple.

I don't think anyone can stop you from leaving the country for knocking up your girlfriend. The bigger question is do you want her to have one of your kids.

I was shocked when a colombiana tried to take my condom off during intercourse. I don't know what her problem was but I never did that again.

My wife says she doesn't want ahy children at the moment but she uses no birth control and I never use a condom with her. I think colombianas put a lot of faith in god or got brainwashed in the Catholic Church.

Calipro,

You are right. From my experience Colombians seem to put way too much faith in God. It seems so backwards to me at times.

This might not be a troll, maybe just a newbie making the same newbie mistakes many have made before him. You know what I'm saying?

brazilianhottie says on Sep 3, 2007, 17:54:

I think that the first thing you should do is get tested for any std's. It is very weird for a woman who does not want to get pregnant to not want to use a condom when having sex. Furthurmore, its not just about getting her pregnant but if she didnt want to use a condom with u theirs also a big chance she didnt use it with anybody else. My point is make sure the girl doesnt have any STDs. Their have been cases where women/men know they have AIDS or any other STD and they dont tell the partner so that the partner can get it. And thats what they do. So be careful. As to ur question about you getting her knocked up and not being able to leave I dont think thats possible, atleast from what i know.

His only mistake was making the girl know his real name. Gringos bobos talk too much. You should learn from Colombians and have an alias ready when you go out cruising for girls.
"You know what I'm saying?"
No, we don't. Explain please...

Man Tequila says on Sep 3, 2007, 19:25:

I've had Colombianas try to take off the condom before. Don't know if it is faith or to let you feel more, but it is asking for trouble. HIV, Hepatitis C, syphillis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, LGV, genital warts and molluscum contagiosum are varying possibilities if she hasn't been checked recently -- you could get it checked out. The rhythm method does not prevent pregnancy, as you should know, but taking 2 Ovral birth control tablets within 3 days (sooner the better) of a broken condom is helpful, repeating the same dose in 12 hours. Use a condom, next time, and the peace of mind is worth the lost sensation.

As for your ACTUAL question, it's been answered. But if you care about her and think she did nothing wrong, you might act accordingly. Now what type of ice cream do trolls eat for dessert?

migringo says on Sep 3, 2007, 19:57:

OK a lot of people have jumped to rather odd conclusions. The fact is, my girlfriend and I were intimate for a while before we made the decision to forgo the condom. Then I became worried later.

My main regret at this stage is airing my dirty laundry in public. If you look at the thread above, you'll see what happened is that one guy made a rude comment, then a bunch of other guys decided it was safe and jumped on the bandwagon. Of course none of you would have the guts to make comments like this about my girlfriend to my face, but this is the Internet so that makes it ok, right?

Let this be a lesson to anybody else posting a problem of a personal nature on this forum. For every one guy who wants to offer some real advice, there are going to be about six guys who just want to sneer and say they know better than you without offering any actual fact to back it up. In Colombia itself you don't get so much of the sneering crowd, one of the reasons to love this country.

Migringo: look I have seen that in several occasions where newbies ask questions and a few people start accusing them of being trolls when in reality u are a person in need of listening to peopls opinions in regards to ur personal situation. On the other hand, there are ppl in this forum who give helpful advise. So dont get discouraged. It happened to me when I first came in and it really bothered me, but dont put too much mind to it.

Medellin Traveler says on Sep 3, 2007, 20:49:

Migringo,
I hear what you are saying. Yes, it also seems to me that there are far more negative post made by members without adding anything serious along with the ribbing. And I'm not just referring to your post.

I'm also a newbie on this board but have experience on other boards. It seems that from my experience whenever a newbie signs up on a message board that many serious experienced know-it-alls, are always quick to call someone out as a troll when in fact it's just someone who was asking for advice, silly as it may sound due to the naiveity of the poster.

I don't know why this type of behaviour exist. Everyone of us has learned something or another the hard way. Personally, almost everything I've learned in life I've learned the hard way.

I've never been one to rush to be the first to call someone a troll even if the questions seems absurd at times, mainly because I believe many have been in similiar situations but are afraid to ask due to fear of ridicule.

And, believe you me, you're not the first person in this type of situation. Don't let the others get to you. There's nothing wrong with a little ribbing every now and then.

You already are suspicious. You said that. Only you know why you feel that way. You need to talk to her genuinely about this, and trust your call. I think some were turned off by your back and forth message, acting like you were ready to run and hide, and then you were turning around and acting like you had a serious relationship with her. I don't think you were giving enough honest information in order to get honest feedback.

admittedly, arriving can feel great too

migringo, last advice. rather than asking me and the rest of the bozos here.... I think you should get on a Colombian Chat site and ask a bunch of Colombianitas what they think.

You'll get the 'answers you wanna hear', there, more than here...
And, at least.. you'll be left in the end, with some more potential dates for next trip.

What a way to meet up with some more colombianas...
Let's go!

Hell, let's all go our own way into Colombian chat land, and use this story, and return and compare notes and chicas and future potentials....lol
