I'm not sure what our plans are for the festival. My brother is coming in from Barcelona tomorrow so I suppose it's up to him. Honestly, I was underwhelmed by the festival last year. i would have like to see more than one Colombian food booth amongst all the taco booths.

I thought you weren't going this year. Are you still headed to Bogota?

CG - Plans had to change as I've been called up to work in Michigan in August. :-( Unfortunately, I can't squeeze a trip in for the rest of the year unless the schedule changes again (it might at the rate we keep on spinning off companies and buy new ones).

Always open to going, but you're right....very underwhelmed last year, although I expect it would be more lively in the evening when it's cooler.

Maia called me last night, she does not usually call me unless she wants me to buy her something, anyway she's thinking of stopping by for a couple days here and then go to the Fest on Sunday to mingle a little bit, just a little bit.

Monpirri - Sorry, but Miss Cali was first runner up. Miss Caldas is this year's queen. Miss Tolima was second runner up, although she had a huge fan base.

CG - This was worth $50. The dinner was really good and the dancing is included. The pageant was a bit long and some of these girls looked quite uncomfortable, but it was enjoyable. And there were a lot of hot women there.

Hey...did you guys know there are 2 Colombian festivals in Houston? One is downtown as Monpirri indicated, and the other is off Highway 6 and I-10. Apparently the other one is the better of the two.
