Colombian exports tumbled 13.2 percent in January

BOGOTA, April 6 (Reuters) - Colombian exports tumbled 13.2 percent in January to $2.46 billion versus the same month last year, the government said on Monday.

The country's trade deficit was $166 million for the month versus a surplus of $95.4 million in January 2008, a government statement said.

Colombian gross domestic product contracted 0.7 percent in the fourth quarter of last year as the global economic slowdown bit into commodity export revenue.

I still think calling the USA right now in a Depression is a joke. I was at opening day for the Dallas baseball game Monday. Sold out! Was at a highend steak place last night. Probably had 75 people there. Was at the Miami tennis tourament and music festival the previous week. Certainly slower but still plenty of people Slow yes but no depression IMO
