Colombian DVDs

Afternoon people,

Does anyone know if Colombian DVDs work on UK computers? (I presume consoles are locked). I want to buy a load of Colombian films but don´t want to waste the money!

As an aside, I was quoted COP$6m for a 10 day trip to Mompos and then back to San Augustin and Tierradentro and then finally into Medellin. Ouch...

yeap they do work on UK COMPUTERS. The region thing (region 4 in colombia, and PAL over NTSC) only aplies to dvd´s players and tvs. You only have to download a plugg in and i´ll do the trick, with any dvd you have. But keep on minf that ONLY WILL WORK ON PCS¡, becouse colombia is NTSC. Even if you buy a compatible dvd player NTSC ALL REGION FREE, you need a tv set that IS NTSC. Otherwise you can "hear" but you can not "see" the dvd. (Check ebay and buy it on the states. They´ll ship you to your home in the uk)

Here´s the link, for downloading the pluggin:

Just follow a few instructions and you´re all set.

I hope it helps.

ConvertXtoDVD will make a copy of a DVD, leaving out anything that might prevent it from being played on any DVD player. Cracked (free) versions of ConvertXtoDVD and AnyDVD are available on http://www.isohunt.com/

convertxtodvd is a good one. but you can also change the region on almost any DVD player. I did it to mine, it is a bit odd how it is done. Remember when you used to find the codes in the video games, like push "up" "up", "down" "down" etc. to get multiple lives, or weapons or whatever, the dvd's have that too. Just google your player and it will show you how. We bought our player in Spain and it now accepts any DVD made.
