arthur brode says on Dec 4, 2004, 21:00: HA! HA! They have a plenty of goats and donkeys here for Elmo to chase as well. The Colombian community here is very small. But they say its the second largest, the first being the Dominicans. All the Colombians are in Miami. http://www.calirentals.net/ 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

kernow62 says on Dec 5, 2004, 12:50: How come PR gets a Colombian Consulate and we've got to drive all the way to Miami? I'm sure there must be more Colombians in Orlando.

viewpoint says on Dec 5, 2004, 12:55: kernow62 It's a shorter drive from Orlando to Miami than the 1200 mile swim from PR to Miami.

kernow62 says on Dec 5, 2004, 20:25: I was just kidding it is just a pain in the ass for the 20,000 plus Colombians in Orlando or the 45,000 or so in Central Florida to have to drive to Miami often 5 or 6 times in a month to sort out screwed up paperwork. Central Florida has 2/3rds of the Colombians in the state but no consulate or even a vice consulate. I guess I was just venting a bit because I have to drive to Miami so often with my mother-in-law. :-)

viewpoint says on Dec 6, 2004, 04:56: kernow62 The PR Colombian Consulate services a lot more than the Colombians in PR as their are Colombians situated throughout the caribbean islands that have to travel via airplane to PR from islands 100s of miles away from PR. For instance the Virgin Islands (British and US) have no Colombian consulate and therefore it's Colombian residents must fly to PR to access the Colombian Consulate. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

elmodefoque says on Dec 6, 2004, 08:13: kernow, thanks! but what i'm trying to do is to stay away from colombians. we don't get alone,i don't even talk to half of my family in colombia. colombian women hate my guts. i was thinking about moving to hollywood, fl. my dominican buddies are already there, and i don't know of any colombians there yet. i know of many colombians in miami and i find them no different from cuban americans. I'll get there, when I get there! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

utopiacowboy says on Dec 6, 2004, 08:32: It's not only Puerto Ricans who eat goat. Cabrito is very popular here and in northern Mexico. Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
