colombian by accident...

the "not colombian enough" post reminded me of something that happened towards the beginning of my time here at work. while being interviewed, i don't remember exactly how it came up, but we were talking about all manner of things, and what motivated me to go to work each day. i must have included that i was working on bringing my wife home, the paperwork and such. a couple of weeks later (obviously after getting the job), my coworker is laughing a bit about some confusion here. somehow it had gotten out in the word of mouth info about the new guy, that he was colombian, and my coworker, after talking with some of these people that i had also dealt with, said that they thought it was impressive, that my being colombian, that my english was so good, and almost no trace of an accent. we both laughed a good one, and i spent about week telling people that no, that my wife was colombian. oh well, accidentally colombian for a week...

Sh*t, Dan.... that would have been fun to play along for awhile don't ya think?

Was it "Ollie or Lena" who thought you were so unusually cool, 'to have NO ACCENT'?
