I am sure this is an old subject, but please comment on issues and procedures for obtaining permanent work visas in Colombia, assuming you have a job and your spouse is Colombian.

Thanks alot,

Mark

Mark... do a search of the site-this subject has been covered. Best bet is to start with one of the Colombian consulates(check their web sites0.

You can't get a permanant work visa.

Visa I can help you with that , however since your wife is Colombian and you do have a job, you have three different possibilities. 1) visa because of youre spouse. 2.) Work visa . 3.) Business visa. Pls let me know where you are and when you will be here . It is no longer necessary to have a police report, and if you you want the spouses visa you must have a a copy of your wifes cedula and a letter from her stating that you are married. These documents has to authenticated by a notary here in Colombia or by a Colombian consulate abroad. If you want me to help you can contact me at hotelkokomo at hotmail.com. The easiest is to make a business visa , I can do that with your passport only and the process here in Colombia takes a week to ten days to make the company, register it etc.
