Colombia VS Republic of Ireland (London) May 29th

Am going to the match 29th May at Fulham but need to find a hotel close by. Can anyone recommend anywhere before I start to trawl the internet. Anyone else going? It'll be my son's first live international match and an opportunity for him to wear the team strip he got from Colombia last month!

What a disappointment it is going to be to watch his team lose............why don't you wait until Colombia are playing someone else..?

I used to work in Fulham. Not many hotels that are close to the football ground, but there is a large poshish one in Lillie Road, SW6 - might be called the Intercontinental now - changes it´s name every few years. Failing that, there is the Cunard International in Hammersmith (20 mins walk), and many smallish b&b places. Good transport links to the ground too.

I might have to dig out my Colombian shirt for this one!

Leave the big stick at home...carry a cannon!

I think this hostel would be best for you, you can easily reach the football ground by tube.

The football ground is in an expensive area.

Thanks for suggestions. Will have a look. Am going because who knows when they will be playing here again! They play France in Paris in June - surely that would be worse RAAAY!!
