Colombia v. Bolivia

Colombia comes into this match in 7th place behind Uruguay and Ecuador for that illustrious 5th place that gives a South American team a chance to play a North American team for a spot in the world cup. Uruguay plays Paraguay and Ecuador plays Brasil so it's not hard to imagine Colombia jumping up to 5th place if they get the job done tonight in Bogota. The main issue with Colombia is scoring, evidence of this is that the leading scorer for Colombia is a fullback that wasn't even called up for tonight's match. Colombia is going to play with a blend of youth and experience that hopefully proves to be the right mix. I have particular hope set on Colombia attacking out of the back with Armero and Zuñiga, also of Quintero shining with his devilish quickness.

Vamos Colombia! Si se puede!

si al menos porque esta muy triste esta seleccion sin goles. Me preocupa es la inclusion de Marin en la titular, prefiero mil veces a Toja. Pero bueno toca ser positivo en esto...

Let's just put it this way:

Si no fueran capaz de superar Bolivia, no merecerian ir al mundial 2010.

I, however, will be watching Maradona's first match in charge. Only because I really don't see Colombia losing, they are simply better than Bolivia.

MIR- not to worry you can catch the Colombia match after Argentina... that's what I'm doing. I'm also intrigued to see Argentina without my boy 'Romy' Riquelme.

I hope Colombia wins because if they lose this game, they're really screwed!

Great score for England today eh? I didn't catch any of it but I read a cross from Becks for one of the goals...crazy.

oh, never used that site, I'll try it out. But i think my connection is too slow to see a live feed. I caught England today, they looked really good. It was only against Slovakia, but a good boding for Wedensday. Rooney MOTM by a mile, he's on par. Beckham provided brilliant delivery as usual, but it was Lennon who sported the number 7

I thought it was a very lackluster display from Colombia. Brilliant goal by Macnelly, but the team seemed to be very much on par with Bolivia, which isn't even close to being a compliment. Great to pick up the win though and remain hopeful. Venezuela is next (Tuesday) and hopefully they're still demoralized from Argentina.

Jorge- Argentina has the talent to do well without Riquelme, that was never a question. However, Riquelme brings a different dimension to the game that in a dead-lock/desperate situation can save the day. I think he's the best free kick taker in the world right now, which is a priceless commodity.

I watched the Uruguay-Paraguay game and although Paraguay dominated much of the the game, they couldn't finish. Maybe they can't handle playing at sea level!

Bolivia wasn't even close to on par with Colombia. Colombia had 6-7 clear opportunities for goal and converted 3. Bolivia never had a single close shot on goal.

Bolivia is terrible. Mexico hammered them 5-1 when they played a friendly.

what game were you watching pavo? I wish Colombia had converted 3 and to not be so lucky to get the win. Didn't you see the Bolivian striker that faced an open goal hit the ball over the net, which would have tied the game and probably deadlocked.
