Colombia to Northern Brasil

Hi all.

Varig used to fly from BOG to Manaus, but it seems they don't purpose no more this route.

Are there other routes from BOG or Cali to Northern Brasil, maybe flying to Laeticia, and then Manaus ?

Thanks in advance.

Leticia From Leticia you can walk to Brazil :-) I know that it is kind of expencive to go there and do not know if they have any flights to Brazil.

(sorry for a lame answer - I would love to go to Leticia myself though!)

Manaus I agree with Lars, once in Leticia you walk into Tabatinga in Brazil. I know there are boats to Manaus from there, but it is a long journey, but not sure if any flights. Check Tabatinga on Brazilian airlines websites to see if anything comes up.

There are boats from Leticia to Manaus, or there were 30 years ago. I know I took one. from what i understand communications to Leticia have improved since then. There must be boats from Benjamin Constant(on the opposite bank) to Manaus. Take a hammock. Enjoy the trip. Don't expect to see wildlife. Downstream the boats tend to stay in the middle of the river. Wish i was going with you, but now probably in retirement. Enjoy it.
