This video kind of sucks, but the audio is a version of Colombia Tierra Querida done by Cabas. I like the traditional versions, but this is a nice interpretation.

The second video I posted it for the the lyrics in the song, but I agree the video itself is bad.

Monpirri, I meant that the video I was posting kind of sucked, not yours. I just like the Cabas version of Colombia Tierra Querida.

Monpirri says on Mar 3, 2008, 09:25:

Ok, but anyway I do not like 100% video #2, the lyrics or stoy is pretty good!

pedro says on Mar 3, 2008, 09:39:

Well Monpirri, why don't you even live in Colombia?

I mean, you can't possibly be a refugee, since you frequently visit there?

So dude, just go home. Why live in a country (USA) and refuse to invest in it emotionally?

No se cual es el complejo tuyo siempre en contra nunca a favor, must be paisa thinking.
I hope Colombia does not go into war because you will be in big trouble.

Wow, talk about a non-response.

Speaking of complexes, I was just trying to shed a little light on yours. But you prefer to run for the shadows rather than consider it openly.

Pedro, Who are you to question monpirri's reasons for not living in Colombia? He isn't badmouthing the US. He simply posted a few videos.

Like Monpirri, I am a Colombian living in the US. I can't speak for him. but the reality for me is that I cannot make anywhere near the same amount of money in Colombia as in the US. Also, I have children from a previous marriage whom I will not leave to grow up without a father. Once the kids are grown and I am satisfied that I have enough money to live as I wish in Colombia, I am outta here.

Monpirri says on Mar 3, 2008, 10:07:

Look dude your love for Colombia brings you to this thread to argue with me. Like I said you must to have some kind problems because you do not offer solutions but rather you show up once in a blue moon to show me your love. It must be the paisa in you and again I hope a war does not develop because you will be in big trouble!

CG, he also said this:
"la letra de la musica del video #2 es para que los voltiarepas reflecionen."

I am talking about having integrity and consistency between your words and actions.

If Monpirri is really buying into the words of his video #2, then he should go home.

I have been an immigrant in a couple of countries (most recently, Colombia). I disagree 100% with the sentiments of that song. My opinion is, if you can't love and respect the country that currently houses you, then you have no business there. I don't have to reject all other countries, I can have part of my identity formed by my experiences in different places.

Monpirri says on Mar 3, 2008, 10:15:

How do you know if I am home or not? And I'm not going to tell you or some idiot who lives in Colombia about my current plans. Do you copy?
Colombians are not the only ones who live in Colombia they are all over the world and they may come to help you when the start bombing your city.

Kind of defensive, aren't we Monpirri?

I'm making the assumption you're in the US right now, cause in the very recent monopoly thread, you were chatting with Simon about getting together one weekend for a game. And Simon just recently arrived in the US, according to him. But if I'm mistaken, just come out and tell me. No big deal.

I don't think I'm mistaken though, I think you just got temporarily coy about admitting you live in the US.

Anyway, that's a beautiful glass house you live in. How thoughtless of me to interrupt you. Please carry on.

Monpirri says on Mar 3, 2008, 18:48:

Dude, why are you whining so much? I do not talk about you, your mother or any member of your family; in fact, I do not even know you! I only know of you when you show up like superman in my threads because I’ve posted something about positive about Colombia, an article or a video, as the ones posted here.
Why do you worry so much where I live? It's not your business and I’m not going to tell squat dude because I don’t even know you and don’t even care if you are Colombian or a volitiapas one, oh, that’s the reason you are in this thread? Well, when I mentioned volitairepas with the videos above I was not even talking about you! Why are you taking it personally? I don’t event know you really, you don’t post much here.

And yes, there are many Colombians who do not live in Colombia.

P.S. Almost everyone here knows where I am.

Well Monpi, you're the one with the history of putting down other Colombians on this site and in general. You claim to be a higher class of patriot than them, constantly calling them voltiarepas.

Look up in your original series of posts, there you are again doing it.

If you claim to be better than other people on false pretences, I may just dig a little to establish some facts. Does that make you uncomfortable? Do you live in the USA Monpirri?

I am not paisa, nor even Colombian. Just look in my profile.

For the record, I'm not putting down Colombians that choose to live in other countries. I think it's excellent they choose that. It will give them great opportunites for personal growth and to help their families.

I'm against guys who want to criticise those same Colombians around the world for simply praising the country that hosts them.

Certain people can be such ingratos. Leech off someone else's country and when the time comes to give thanks, nothing good to say.

Pedro,

As far as I have read on this board regarding Monpirri, he has never put Colombians en el extranjero down, I have never read him telling off Colombians. (I haven't read all his posts)

I disagree with things that some Colombians do in Colombia or overseas- does that make me less of a Colombian? We all have opinions, views, different thoughts- doesn't make us love COLOMBIA or our people any less?
