Colombia this summer

I may be traveling to Colombia this summer, maybe 4 or 5 days in Bogota and about 15 days in Cali.
It has been 2 years since i have been to Colombia. My question is:
1. What is a hotel room going for these days in these cities?
2. Anyone recommend a hotel in these cities?
3. Where can a person go on the internet to get a list of hotels in these cities?
Thanks!

realsuites85m is around 60 a night in bogota, and a decent enough place, near Zona Rossa. let me know if you need info on it. don't be mad at me if they quote a higher price though. don't know nuthin about Cali. either way, I hope you get to travel there Scotty. You'll love it.

admittedly, arriving can feel great too

Do a search , its been discussed 1000s of times here recently,,,

Try this link http://interhotel.com/colombia/en/localidades/22666.html
However, I would do a Google search as Miamimike suggests on this site to get a more credible review of these places.

dawg, yea i have stayed at real85 before, infaxct thats where i stayed 2 years ago, good place, safe, reasonably priced, i'll probably stay there while in Bogota.

However, i am more worried about Cali, most hotels there seem to be very expensive $100,or a dive much cheaper around $30, cant seem to find a medium nice hotel say between $45 - $65 a night in a nice area? any suggestions?

Also any gringos in cali wanting to rent out a room in your condo for a couple of weeks?

Cali Plaza is a decent hotel, but for two problems. One, it is across the street from the Viejo Barril - where the max volume music continues until 4 or 5 am. The other is that inside the hotel sound travels. My buddy stayed there and was either kept awake by the Viejo Barril or by prepagos arguing. For about $70.00 US a night (significantly less for a two week stay) you can take a suite at Aparthotel Ave. 4. These are really nice suites, large and with a great kitchen.
