interesting study, vlad... i've lived extensively in both switzerland and colombia and not only do i find it hard to accept such comparisons, i would have to see the study criteria to even remotely accept such conclusions.

for instance. there does not exist a segment of society in switzerland akin to many found in colombia..ie choco, amazonas, guahira, etc. poverty levels not to be found anywhere in europe, much less in switzerland. to conclude that women's access to the work place, equal pay, health care are better in colombia than switzerland is utter fantasy.

like i said, it would be necessary to see exactly how they constructed this survey to understand how they arove at their conclusions.

Da Swedish girls are very happy with this study... DW, I would have thought Colombia in the top ten being as how the women in Colombia are taking over. Umm, I mean in the public arena... we already know who is running things in more important arenas. :)

Women with equality - Guys, watch out where you live Ran across a 1990 country SUICIDE statistic graph with these numbers.

TOP 10 STATES FOR GENDER EQUALITY with suicides per 100,000 noted.
1: Sweden = 20.5
2: Norway = 13.3
3: Iceland = 13.9
4: Denmark = 31.6
5: Finland = 25.2
6: New Zealand = 9.7
7: Canada = 12.3
8: United Kingdom (England Wales) = 6.7
9: Germany = (East 30.5, West 20.9)
10: Australia = 12.2 (Tied with U.S.)

High was Hungary with 44.9 and Denmark was not even a close second.
Low was Kuwait with 0.3, Mexico 1.7, Ecuador 4.3. The white South Africans were killing themselves three times faster than the non-whites but when combined, NOT nearly as fast as MOST of the countries above. Colombia wasn’t on the graph but I’d bet it would be low.

Checked for beautiful women, came up with a top 10 list.
Venezuela is tied with India for the most Miss World Titles. The United Kingdom is second followed by U.S.A. South Africa, Jamaica, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, Argentina and the Netherlands.

There is a lesson here somewhere.

cool heads prevail? I guess all that hot tropical blood doesn't get in the way. Most cooler climate countries happen to also be more stable as well.

Warning Thursday night LIVE on CNBC, Donald Trump will HIRE his new apprentice.

The decision is between TWO very attractive women. Watched this since the start and these women WON hands down. No comparison with the men.

One woman is not a College graduate, married and part of the “street smarts” original group. She’ll go far in life. The other, an aggressive, no nonsense, single woman with determination is my HANDS DOWN PICK.

DONALD: If you’re reading this,, pick the blond and I’ll never buy an apartment in the Trump Towers.

Colombia was second among Latin American countries, after Costa Rica. Also, the study measures health, education, econmic opourtunities, etc, compared to those of men of the same socioeconomic background, of course. So, a poor country may well be ahead of a rich country if such a criterion is used.

UK number two in Miss Worlds? Yikes, I am British and as proud as can be, but Indian women should be about 100 titles ahead of us. They have got some real lookers in India, I even put up with the singing in Bollywood Films just to gaze upon these visions of perfection. What the heck happens to them after they get married though, they sure pack on the pounds.

Let him finish the honeymoon Later they had a hour long interview with Trump. Donald says it took him ONE SECOND to make up his mind his new wife was the woman.

That was about half a second too long based on this PHOTO

The SA women would be the best, especially using a Venezuela – Brazil – Colombia apprentice to create the new TRUMP Negligee line. I’d watch that show.

Trump has said that “Grown Men Weep” when he walks with his wife into a restaurant. He’ll be doing his own weeping when he sees what he missed.

His wife is Slovenian?? She is also the woman with the DUCK FEET on the new AFLAC commercial. Donald is 58 his new wife 30,, seems about right.
