"the house specialty is always freshly caught something, rubbed with the fiery flavors so celebrated in this corner of the world"

What a load of mierda-Colombian food-even the version on offer in CTG-is anything but fiery most Colombians break out in a sweat just thinking about spicy food!

I agree about the Italian and Spanish influences but am puzzled by the lack attention to Middle Eastern food-CTG has some outstanding Middle Eastern places.

All in all it's a typical NYT travel piece-fluff atop ignorance with a strong helping of nepotism-do you think someone who wasn't writing for the NYT would be offered free cake/champagne because there was no chance of a reservation?

Middle eastern food is not as celebrated as latin american cuisine is by nyt readers. I would suggest you take a look at how wealthy nyt is before you assume they wrote the article for a sweetheart deal.

And what about middle eastern food ? It is not even relevant to this post. Stop hatin

The Falafel in CTG is outstanding-as is the Tabooli.

Today Colombia made the front page of the online edition of the Wall Street Journal with a story about the "Colombia es Pasion" campaign. In the print edition the story is the top Marketing/Advertising item in section B.
