Colombia pics

http://public.fotki.com/tayroneman/

Just got back from Colombia and already looking for a ticket to go back in a couple of months.

Easily now in my top 3 countries Ive ever been to. I was lucky to already know some people there but I met so many new people and experienced things I wouldnt believe if someone told me. I will try to put more pics on and write a tripreport once I get my act back together SISAS.

WOW. It's great to see those pictures. It would be great to check out your trip report. I am planning a similar extended trip next summer. Please try to include advice about money, bugeting, moving between cities, etc.

Smile if you are a thinker!

Thanks Kim. Can you tell us where the photo was taken? What club? It looks very nice. "tayrona 2 016

Con mucho gusto Lisa Zee. The beauty of it is that apart from the places I visited, there is so much more to visit. And next time I will have my own personal guide -) who told me about places Im dying to visit now.

Kem... you said that "[Colombia is] in my top 3 countries Ive ever been to."

out of curiosity, what are the other two?

Kem says on Dec 27, 2006, 12:33:

aztec its actually at the golf club near the horse club of my friend Ines. I think it was club Salamanca, very posh. By coincidence I ended up in Bogota in some upperclass circles. I can assure you I was taken care of very well. Not really my scene but the company made up for it.

India, for the overdose of my senses.

And Laos, most relaxed country I ever been.

arfgoblue says on Dec 27, 2006, 12:41:

hmmm... i'd say india had better food (i know i am going to open myself to ridicule for this one!), but colombia is more laid back. haven't been to laos yet.

uruguay would also rank up there for me :)

arfgoblue says on Dec 27, 2006, 12:42:

nice photos how long were you in colombia for?

Kem says on Dec 27, 2006, 13:04:

Food in India (curries with spices ginger coriander garlic etc) is definately better then Colombian food. Actually I wasnt too impressed with the Colombian food, especially inland. (Im not too big on meat) At the coast the seafood (langostines!) was delicious tho. But on the other hand I discovered fruits I never heard of and loved them!

Was in Colombia for 6 week, barely enough.
