WOW. It's great to see those pictures. It would be great to check out your trip report. I am planning a similar extended trip next summer. Please try to include advice about money, bugeting, moving between cities, etc.

aztec its actually at the golf club near the horse club of my friend Ines. I think it was club Salamanca, very posh. By coincidence I ended up in Bogota in some upperclass circles. I can assure you I was taken care of very well. Not really my scene but the company made up for it.

hmmm... i'd say india had better food (i know i am going to open myself to ridicule for this one!), but colombia is more laid back. haven't been to laos yet.

uruguay would also rank up there for me :)

Food in India (curries with spices ginger coriander garlic etc) is definately better then Colombian food. Actually I wasnt too impressed with the Colombian food, especially inland. (Im not too big on meat) At the coast the seafood (langostines!) was delicious tho. But on the other hand I discovered fruits I never heard of and loved them!

Was in Colombia for 6 week, barely enough.
