Colombia party capital

Hey everyone

First of all, I want to say this is a great forum, really usefull. To my understanding there are two kinds of travellers who visit Colombia. Older men who are fond of the local ladies, and backpackers. I know this is a bit of a generalisation but looking at several boards, websites, thats the impression that I got.
Im visiting Colombia next month for mainly the party scene. I dont mind to admit that Im not into the whole cultural scene, or natural wonders. Im just in it for the parties. Through my travels I always heard that the party scene in Colombia is the best. (even better then brazil or argentina). Anyone been to Cha Cha club in Bogota, Blue in Medellin or la Puerta in Santa Marta? I appriciate any other input on party places in Colombia. I will be there for a month so I got plenty of time to check those places out. My musical preferences are electronic, but also local music like cumba etc. Visiting Bogota, Medellin, Santa Marta (taganga parc tayrone) and Cartagena I hope I dont miss out on too many party places. Id appriciate any feedback.
Im a european in late twenties so ofcourse I dont mind the presence of local beauties-)
When I get back I will post all my pictures here, something that this site lacks a bit to be honnest.
Anyway thanx for listening and hasta luego

Maybe you should have been checking out this site a little longer and then you would have discovered that there are a lot more than just two types of people who regularly travel to Colombia.
Anyway, when are you planning to travel to Colombia? I've heard there is a massive Halloween party planned in Gacheta with a military theme.
You should get yourself over there and check it out, don't forget your 'camo' gear!!

You Have Picked... the wrong site, amigo. Lots of sites allow T and A but not here.

The backpackers are fond of the local ladies too. They stay in those cheap hostels and still manage to get some ass. If you have a little youth on your side and a hit of blow, the sky is the limit.

Don't miss it. Hello. There is a great place nearby Bogotá in a small town called Chía. It's name is "Andrés Carne de Res" and the party in there is awesom. you couldn't get more colombian than that. The food and music are fabulous and very pretty girls go every w/e. You'll need to go with someone or to hire a car, as there isn't a good transport link. Besides you'll party until 3am so you really need a car, otherwise you'll be stuck. A taxi will cost a fortune.
I'm sure you'll have the time of your life in Colombia, the place really is great although you may come across some things you'll find not too nice like beggers and poor people on the streets, which may be a bit shocking if you've never seen such a thing before. If you have visited other forums in this site you would have noticed that at all times you need to be travel wise. go and have fun like crazy, is the right place to do it, but don't give "papaya" as colombians say or you may get in deep poo.
Enjoy your holiday :)

Macgringo I said I know its a generalization. My point was that not many gringos visit Colombia merely for the party scene. I stand by my point that even on this forum most of you are here becos you are involved with a local lady. And nothing wrong with that! Good for you !And you almost got me with your second remark, funny almost.
Gator whats T and A?
Morphus I know that, and I wont mind it either, tho not looking for it. I ll probably come by in your place early December.Any recommandations where to go at night?
Crisspe cheers ! I travelled through India last year so I can deal with a bit of poverty. I will definately visit Andres carne de res. Website looks promissing.

What about other places?

if you're into the electronic scene, you HAVE to come to medellin... it's the biggest and better electronic scene in the country. Mail me if you want more info. I'm just saying get here, and get to Ultramar festival in january/cartagena.

Next month we'll have carl cox, axwell, mistress barbada, ferry corsten, richie hawtin, mauro picotto, danilo vigoritto, erick morillo, steve angello, and many other international and national dj's almost every day. Best electronic seasson ever. You just need to know when and where.

Check out the link on this forum for parties about medellin a few days ago) I posted a whole list for Bogota and some for Medellin. In Bog, the best for electronic are Gotica and Cinemia.

Yeah, Colombia has great nightlife and fun people. Most visitors complain how little is going on except for the weekends, though.

Strangely, backpackers usually hit the most expensive places in town. I find that sometimes the more genuinely fun places are a little bit more popular, less exclusive places. For example in Bogota, I prefer Plaza de las Americas over the Zona Rosa places.

que nota!

best parties are not going around on discos and zonas rosa...

That was exactly what I thought, Toneloc. I wondered whether it was a male gay club there for a second.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.
