COLOMBIA'S TOP STORIES: Bogota police are on an all-out search for Jose Nibardo Marin, accused of shooting an 11-year-old boy. Marin allegedly broke out in a fight and shot his brother. The same bullet then hit the young boy in the head. The boy remains in critical condition at Simon Bolivar Hospital.
Health authorities are now investigating two deaths possibly linked to the A(H1N1) virus. A 30-year-old pregnant woman and a 19-year-old teenager may be the latest victims to die from the disease.
The latest "parapolitica" trial begins for Colombian Senator Luis Fernando Velasco, accused of having ties with paramilitary groups. Velasco admits to meeting with the armed groups but says only for peace talks.
Plus, more delays in Bogota's subway project. The District Administration says the construction company's preliminary study will not be finished until August. The company has to redo all surveys to determine how many people will take the new subway, and to decide whether it should be built underground, above ground or both.
