Colombia confiscates $11 million in smuggled cash on ship

http://edition.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/americas/09/10/colombia.confiscated....

CNN) -- Colombian customs agents have seized nearly $11 million in cash smuggled aboard a ship from Mexico, the agency's chief said.

Wednesday's seizure at the port of Buenaventura may be the nation's largest, officials told Caracol Radio.

The money was stashed in plastic bags inside two containers filled with a chemical industrial product, customs chief Nestor Diaz said in an interview with Caracol Radio. Each bag contained $700,000.

No arrests have been made, Diaz said.

Colombian officials said the shipment originated in Manzanillo, on Mexico's Pacific coast and the nation's busiest ports.

im sick of the whole drug thing

if you like charlie go have a few lines and have a good night..if you dont then dont.

in my opinion alcohol and cigarettes are just as bad if not worse and cause more problems.

all the governments are doing by making it so illegal is spending billions of our tax dollars on unnecessary crap that could be spent elsewhere, making criminals rich and causing unnecessary violence.

Weigh it? Hell this is Colombia we are talking about.

They had one guy count it, then they had another guy it in front of him, then a third guy, still not satisfied they had the machine count it, that was good enough so they brought a machine from Bogota to count it, and they are probably counting it again as I am writing this.
