Colombia Building Costs

Does anyone have information on colombian building costs, like rough meter squared prices for constructing a new house or building?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

800,000 to 900,000 per square meter of new construction in Medellin, assuming ceramic floors around 30,000/m2 and kitchens around 5,000,000. don't forget a one-time tax of about 10,000,000 for each new dwelling (assuming an apartment of about 100m2).

you can build for that antiguru...per meter...thats without any fixtures....but a 5 million peso kitchen ??? sounds real cheap to me.

Gringo Dan is currently building a new home in Pacho. He is a builder in the US (Colorado I think) but he spends half his time in Colombia. He will be able to give you an idea of the real costs to build outside of Bogota. Ask him to email you some photos of his house under construction: dan at dl93.net

I have met Dan in Pacho. He has a construction company and a ranch in the US and spends a lot of time in Pacho. He said he intends to use his new home in Pacho as a "Display Home" (when it is finished) and is looking to build more homes in Colombia.
