Kat I agree I think they are really nice over there. I feel more at ease posting over there also. I also agree that it gets crazy over here rehashing the same stuff. Since WidowerinCanada stopped with his stuff last year there has not even been a fun story to follow. Anyway if I have a question about something specific I think that just by the number of members here there is a lot better chance of getting some real good information. I have gotten some great info. and met some great members in Colombia from PBH. However there are some crazy people on this site:) I think it gets a little crazy in here and not very productive but it is addictive. I can pull this site up at anytime and see some crazy new thread started. My wife thinks I am crazy to even look on here. She says she can tell me anything I need to know about Colombia. She just doesn't get it. I am addicted to this stupid site!!! I just wish they would bring back PMs and "WidowerinCanada" would make a return with another story.

CBlog Actually the atmosphere at CBlog is much friendlier than that of PBH. This site has way more members and traffic than CBlog, but there is too much animosity at PBH, I made a long post in reply to somebody who called me out and the insults start flying and people just get personal (sometimes it's funny , sometimes it is tiring), which doesn't really happen at CBlog.

Less misoginy and cultural chauvenism over there too. Both sites are unique and have their good points.

I never wear a hat unless I have a reason to be wearing it. Real cowboys usually wear gimme baseball-type hats when they're working. That way if they lose it they haven't lost anything. I have several beat up hats that my kids would love me to get rid of but they've got sentimental value. They also want me to shoot my dog because she's about 400 years old. Sure she can barely move and she's deaf and blind but she still gets up every morning to bark at the dogs across the street so I think she's getting some enjoyment out of life.

Colombian Blog - THE SPINOFF Ok shortly after I started posting on here I recieved a PM asking me to register for CB.

Whilst I did go over and take a look at the site , it apperared that there were too many sections on the site and it was confusing , also it appeared that the moderator started 95 % of the topics.

Whilst it is great that we get new forums on Colombia , I must say in my humble opinion that PBH is the original and still by far the best.

It makes me chuckle how there are threads on CB that try to put this site down , and make theirs look superior , its only innocent fun.

May I be the first to thank Peter on a great website and for taking the time and effort to keep this place an amusing and informative Colombian site.

why bicker? I've been a lurker on both sites for a long time but never joined PBH. I learned of PBH from over there. I asked one time what was PBH and the administrator was kind enough to give me the link. Later, I found another link to PBH in the Colombia related links in the forum. Doesn't sound like they are "competing". If anything, they lament how bad this forum had become because of lack of moderators and lack of control of the trolls.

I for one enjoy both sites. There is plenty of room on the internet.
Cblog is hopefully the start of more discussion forums that accomodate different people with differents tastes.

I find that the real stupidity on here tends not to happen on CB. That's why I mostly post over there. You can give an opinion and have it respected as an opinion. There are way too many flamers on here who have a hard problem when somebody attacks their ethnocentrism or has a different way of seeing things than they do.

If you think someone's opinions are shit that's fine but when you just start ridiculing people that crosses the line and puts an end to any intelligent discussion. Unfortunately nobody seems to care about that here.

I also like the setup at CB better. I've been saying for a long time now that phpbb is the only way to go with forums. :P
