Colombia 3-0 Ecuador

Que alegria! Why dont we take a break from thinking of all of Colombia's problems for one moment and just sit back and think about the great game Colombia played these last two matches! Especially Tressor~! damn reminds me of the Toloun tournament years back.. Colombia is going to qualify , i can feal it!!

patience... Colombia have no doubt vastly improved their chances of going deutschland come next year, however there is still work to do.
We have 3 matches left and all are vital....2 away matches and 1 at home.
Chile at home should be 3 points`and i also believe we can get an odd goal victory away to Uruguay.....I'll be happy to hold the Paraguyans to a draw.....hopefully we would have done enough to grab 3rd or fourth place....I really don't want to face the aussies on a 2 leg playoff (although I would fancy our chances).
The only thing is that they better play well if they do make it....Colombia are a very anti-climatic team when it gets to the BIG stage

It will come down to the last game. I think at the moment Colombia deserve to be in the position they are. They haven't been lucky or unlucky. They have played some poor games and some good ones and now sit in a position where they will have to continue playing well to qualify.

Chile - Brazil (A), Col (A), Ecuador (H)
Ecuador Bol (H), Uruguay H, Chile A
Uruguay Arg h, Ecuado A, Col H
Paraguay, Ven A, Col H, ARG H
Colombia Chile (h), Uruguay A, Para A

I think Chile will only pick up 3 points in there next 3 games (losing against Colombia obviously) while Ecuador wil get 6 (the 3 points from there home game and then beating bolivia). Out of the Contenders I think Uruguay will struggle from here and Paraguay will pick up 4 points including a draw with Colombia.

3 Ecuador 29
4 Paraguay 26
5 Colombia 25
6 Chile 23

Colombia picking up only 5 points in the next three can still struggle but it may be enough.
Hopefully the game against Paraguay will be for 4th/5th and not 5th/6th.
But an up set win by Chile over Brazil will be devastating for Colombia.

I think as an Australian we wouldn't mind getting Colombia, Chile or Paraguay in the playoffs but not Ecuador due to the altitude or uruguay due to past performances.

Im hoping it doesn't come down to an Australia v Colombia and that we both make it. I think if it does Australia will need to get Viduka (Middlesborough) and Kewell(Liverpool) fit for the game. We have a few other stars Cahill(Everton), Bresciano(Parma), Emerton(Blackburn) and Scwarzer (Middlesborough). Grella(Parma) and Skoko aren't bad but the defence is a big ?. Kewell and Viduka haven't played a full club game this year and Kewell has just had surgery after breaking down in the Champions league final.

We will see what level the Aussie are at after the Confederations cup next week. They will be without Kewell, Bresciano and Grella.
