There are 10 plus Catholic Schools and one NON Catholic. Students can choose the school they attend, however the single OTHER school is about 150,000 pesos per month per student. For all intents and purposes the Catholic owned and operated schools are “PUBLIC�. Haven’t been inside a College. The cost of College seems to place a emphasis on learning but there should be plenty of diversions and the chance to meet new friends.

You should note the comment by BAQ in another thread about teachers NOT being paid for MONTHS. In Valle Cauca I have not heard a problem in the Catholic schools. Many retirees, have a school paid pension, live in the area and seem quite happy. My opinion is that the schools in trouble are in the Non Catholic group and seem to include some Colleges.
