The parade is part of the many events during the "feria de las flores" held each August in Medellin.

I had some free time today and put together a quick video from my photos of the parade last year. I guess it's better late than never.

ah! great memories. back in the 'when'...like late 80's, all the capos and wanna be capos would fall out in the parke envigado on thursdays, fridays and saturday nights with their fantastic rolling stock. great old cars.

at first, it was real touch and go, cause the envigado crowd was nothing like poblado. these were some real toughs and me, the only foreigner in antioquia,stood out like a orange thumb. i coulda painted my skin brown and i still woulda stood out. after a while, when they would see me every week, i guess they accepted me an would toast with me and to me and all was cool.

there even used to be a sort of packard club.

look forward to seeing this cabalgata downstream.
