Civil war defined again

Much like our own civil war in the estados unidos; my novia and HER VERY BEST FRIEND in Pasto; they are dead-set split and diametrically opposed, when it comes to politics. Otherwise, in real life events, day by day, they are 'as sisters'. (How the hell can that be??? I do not understand.) I spent time with both of these ladies, together at the same time....and separately) while in Pasto at the New Year. One (my novia) a staunch Uribe supporter; the other... her VERY BEST FRIEND,... Gaviria (sp?) supporter. Just like in our own civil war in the States: brother against brother, north against the south. ABSOLUTE best of friends.... on the opposite sides of this bi-polar affair for the future of the presidency and maybe of the country; Colombia. I guess just the same as you can have (I do have) two children in the same family, that are as different as night and day.

Maybe this will subside. Soon. a few weeks after the elections.

I think I understand this gringodiego.... They have the good sense to not allow something as unimportant as politics get in the way of something as sublime as friendship.
