City of Cali - Current Crime Stats?

Dear All~ Hope all is rather good with you. I think it's been close to two years with summer 2006 being my last visit in Cali. Although I did venture to some popular otherwise normal barrios and took cabs past midnight - shouldn't done so really but you gotta dance & women- the crime was not loud. I read the newspapers & normal going-ons that happen in every other city. In another visit to Cali the edge was in the air a bit but all good since I only go to places where tourists go like chipichape and others. How is the crime lately in our dear Cali?
Some people I know tells me is ok. TIA~

I go to Cali alot. I was there in May, June, July, Sept, & Oct. and I do not see crime as being a problem. I listen to my GF there, so incase she is upset about me doing something I think is safe, I figure why get her upset even if its safe!

unless you want to count the time i was chased down off of Sexta by a big "N" with a knife at around 2am or the other time when someone climbed in through the bathroom window of my apartment while i was sleeping early one morning and stoled my Camara ,100k,a Shaver and a brand new bottle of hot sauce!

Transvestites for taking pictures of them.While i was fighting them off this guy jumps on my mountain bike and takes off.While the guy is ridding off on my bike this old man comes out of nowhere with a .45 auto aiming at the back of the guy.I never seen a modefoque get off a bike so fast in my life.The old man saved the day.I gave him 20k.

actually,it was not on Sexta.if i had stayed on Sexta the incident probably would have not occured.it was just off of Sexta.on one of the side streets near the Zona Rosa.i have never cared for the area.a lot of lowlifes around there.and i have no reason to go there.besides,i meet 10 times more Chicas during the daytime.

As A B says dont go off sexta towards Ava Americas ....especially as it is close to the silly season.Had a similiar exprerience just off sexta too!...yes it is always surprising how fast you can run when you got too.
