CHUQUI- CHOCO REGION TRAVEL ADVICE

Hey my names rob. IM coming to colombia this august with my friends and staying in medellin for 12 days. We want to take 3 days and go on a safe adventure somewhere. I read about chuqui in the choco region and heard it has ebautiful rainforests and amazing oceans.

Is this a perfect place to go for 3 days of relaxing and adventure. I would also like to visit with some indigenous communities if possible?

My only worry is the guerrilas-- Are they active in this area. We are 3 gringoes from NY. Is this area of colombia very dangerous?

I read about a place called the piedra piedra lodge, which peolpe said was amazing.

Anyone has been to this part of the world or can maybe reccomend something?

I think so too. Nuqui is a small village at the coast, kind of disconnected from other places. Guerilla activity there is low, not really a problem. It can be very quiet out of season. There might not be much to do apart from hanging out on the beach. There is more info on the archives, try a search for nuqui.

It's easy to get to from Medellin btw. So yes, it'd be a great place to go for a few days of adventure.
