ok i have a funny request. my fiance has mentioned he loves some colombian christmas song that seems to me to be a kids song. it doesn't seem to have actual words, just na na na or some variation of that. i would love to be able to know the name of the song so i can find a copy to download. it would bring a smile to his face i'm sure as we're very far from his family at christmas (we're in the middle east) and its been very hard for him so far. thanks in advance for the help!
cheers

mrxcol says on Dec 16, 2004, 05:26: Funny jaja. Hope you enjoyed it. I remember once i while in London a couple of years ago i was in a electronics store in Oxford st and started playing "Colombia Tierra Querida" in a piano that was there. I played it because i remember it from my piano lessons and i started to see how from all the people in the store about 4-5 were colombians and inmmediately recognized the song and started cheering. It was a small moment of colombianhood in the heart of London. It may sound poetic but it's like when the wind stop blowing, the time stops and there's a felling of magic in the air....

teppar says on Dec 19, 2004, 03:44: thanks again julian! so sorry its taken me a couple of days to respond, but friday and saturday is my weekend so i've only just got back into the office and been able to catch up on messages. i managed to find tuntaina and coupled with the a la nanita you gave me julian i also downloaded a bunch of villancicos from kazaa and burned a cd for my fiance. the only two songs he liked was the tuntaina and a la nanita (he said he didn't know most of the others) but the look on his face when he heard the music (i just pressed play without telling him anything) was priceless! he was so excited, and then unfortunately also really sad that he wasn't with his family. now though the sadness is gone and i instead wake up to tuntaina ringing in my ears every day! and sadly its not the cd playing or him singing...its just the bloody song stuck in my head!! hee hee :-) it was nice to make him smile though and the songs are a lot of fun.

mrxcol says on Dec 20, 2004, 07:43: I found a new hosting company which allows unlimited download bandwidth. Yahoo had 4 MB per hour so it was getting full all the time. Funny becasue each song was about 2-4 MB. UI don't know how is it that 40 people downloaded songs from there.
