Christmas Party in Barranaquilla

I will be down in Barranquilla during Christmas week visiting the family and we will be having a Christmas party for about 110 kids, ages 3 to 12 who are currentky housed in a government home for the kids that don't have homes. I will be playing Santa (A gringo santa!!) and if anyone is going to be in the area, we can use all of the help we can get. From what I understand, the newspapers will be there since the government is involved. It will be on christmas day in the afternoon. I can supply those that are interested more details. I know that the scheduled day is hard, but it's a good opportunity to realize how lucky we are and put a smile on a kid's face. It doesn't matter what language you speak - smiles are universal. Thanks

Sooo So how did the party go? Did you have enough soda pop for all the kids? Did they flip when they saw Santa? What kind of presents did you give out?

Christmas Party Follow-Up Well, the party was great. Half of the kids went nuts when they saw Santa(me) and the other half started crying because they were afraid of good old Papa Noel. I had brought down the gifts -maybe 150 or so and we gave them all out. Plenty of soda and juice for the kids and most of all plenty ofsmiles from the kids. Bringing down all of the presents from Tampa was a bit of a pain, but it was all worth it. I´ll be posting some pics of theparty if anyone wants to see them. Hope everyone had a great holiday.
