Child Sponsorship

Children International My parents have sponsored girls in Colombia since I was a kid. They sponsor them through Children International. All the girls they sponsor are in Manizales at a catholic school for disadvantaged kids.

Since they frequently go to visit the girls and their families and they personally know the nuns that run the school, you can be sure the sponsorship money is put to good use by the organization. They also help the girls with additional money for other expenses, but they administer it through the nuns.

Once the girls are out of high school, they begin to help them directly with college tuition and expenses.

I don't know if this organization operates in the UK. If you would like any more details I can ask them when they get back from your neck of the woods(England) and I will be glad to PM you the info.

heres one Heres something you may be interested in. There is a little known orphanage for little girls just north of Cali in a community called Yumbo. This orphanage is poor and I am certain these little girls would love to have a sponsor.
Every time Im in Cali i either visit the orphanage or send something to them money, cloths, shoes, toys, whatever.
They are very appreciative of anything you can spare.
They used to have a website Im not sure if they still have the site up or not.
Anyway if you or anyone else that visits this board would like to look into this orphanage and maybe contribute somehow here is their information.

2. Recursos para organizar grupos de danzasa, teatro, música (coros,
tunas, grupos musicales etc).

3. Traductores bilingues ( escriban y hablen bien el inglés, que nos
ayuden a traducir las cartas y fichas. Para esto nostros scaniamos las
cartas y fichas las enviamos via email para que de igual manera los
traductores nos regresen la traducción por este mismo medio.

I have been trying to post or PM, but have run into problems.

My parents are currently in England and Spain and won't be back until next week. As soon as they return, I will ask them for more specific information about the program and the girls school in Manizales.
