cheapest way london-cali?

Might be going to Cali/Tumaco in March and want to know what prople think is the cheapest way to get to Cali from London. Have looked at Air Comet from Madrid. Anyone flown with them?

Rumbera check out Expedia.co.uk or travelocity, you should be able to find cheapish flights on those, if you go via Madrid/Paris it's more expensive, if you go via Miami/Atlanta/New York it'll be cheaper.

I've never heard of Air Comet?

Usually I go by British Airways, Air France but if there's nothing there or too expensive then go with Iberia or Avianca, let me know how much your ticket would be with Air Comet.

I made the best experience with Air France through Paris. Might be a few dollars more...but they definately have the better and spacier air planes than Air Comet or Avianca. Also, think about the immigration hassle at US airports if you fly via Miami...of course, you may be lucky and get through quickly. You can call Air France and they can book you right through to Cali (not possible online).

Air comet is a real budget budget airline. That basically means they´re rubbish. Expect delays and cancellations etc.

London to Cali you´ll probably find the best fares with either American Airlines or Virgin Atlantic via Miami.

Be as flexible as possible with your dates and the time you wish to spent in Colombia (some tickets are cheaper depending validity: 1m, 45d, 3m, etc.). You can search for tickets on www.ebookers.co.uk , www.expedia.co.uk or www.opodo.co.uk , but don't forget to check the actual websites of the airline (Air France, Iberia, among others) to see if they can offer you the same thing with less (administrative) costs. I don't know other price comparison sites designed for the British market...
Although Air Comet might offer cheap tickets online (sometimes, in my experience they've been just as expensive as other carriers), they only fly from Madrid. This means buying a _seperate_ ticket from your country to Madrid, picking up luggage (they don't interline), security and checking in again. A delay, cancellation or any other problem with one leg of your journey means big problems for the next (as there are two seperate tickets). Air Comet (as was Air Madrid at the time) focuses on the Spanish (and Colombians in Spain) market.
I've never flown via the US (although Delta always comes out the cheapest), but I'd glady pay a bit more to avoid a transit in the US and fly Iberia via Madrid (seeing as Air France/KLM, although better, is a lot more expensive here on their home market from Amsterdam).
