Cheap hotels or hostels in Barranquilla?

I'm going to be there for Carnival and finding any info on the web is very hard. Any ideas gratefully received...

Barranquilla Hotels I have stayed at several hotels in BAQ, and I prefer Hotel Versalles. They are adding on but they told me the old rooms will still be the cheaper price. You had better hurry or you won't find a cheap room for Carnival. Shifty

Olimpico This place is popular with backpackers during Carnaval.

HOTEL OLIMPICO
Cr 42 33-20
COLOMBIA - Atlántico, Barranquilla
Telefonos: (57)(5)3404750

Be advised, the neighbourhood is really foreboding at night, this part of town is not really a pleasant place to stay.

There is no hostel in Barranquilla as far as I know.

que nota!
