Forum,
Isn't there another airline that flys from Cartagena to Medellin?
I'm really sick of Avinunca...
How do you guys get back and forth between the two cities?

Gator says on Oct 21, 2007, 09:29: Aero República about four times each day, SAM(Avianca) direct and connect Bogotá, Satena does not fly route. If you search and COPA pops up that is a cede share with Aero República. Bus is cheap but too damn long "Brevior Sltare Cum Deformibus Mulieribus Est Vita!" . 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Saltador says on Oct 21, 2007, 10:06: I checked the prices and Avianca and AeroRepublica look to be around the same price, 250 dollars more or less. Avianca goes non-stop though...

robi666 says on Oct 21, 2007, 13:13: Pedro is right. ADA is by far the best option. "I am a citizen of the most beautiful nation on earth. Gator says on Oct 21, 2007, 14:10: I THINK Aires also makes the flight but via Cucuta. We did not like ADA and Herrera is not that safe an airport(a personal opinion). When you look at the surrounding mountains when landing and taking off you can't pull a needle out of you ass with a John Deere tractor. john_stark says on Oct 21, 2007, 14:22: I love Herrera airport! I would never fly to Rio Negro if I could fly to Herrera - it's a five minute cab ride to my wife's apartment. Hell I could walk if I had to.

robi666 says on Oct 21, 2007, 14:22: I used to jump from much smaller airplanes... so I guess that's why I am not taking the "danger" feeling into considerations. john_stark says on Oct 21, 2007, 14:33: Not only is it in the city but you get a fantastic view of the city and its barrios as you come in for a landing at Herrera.

robi666 says on Oct 21, 2007, 14:35: They are slightly cheaper. And without taking into account the taxi from Rionegro or the premium ticket after ten one-way trips. tomtom33 says on Oct 21, 2007, 17:13: I´m flying to CTG from MDE a week from Tues. on Aires: http://www.aires.aero/Website/. I booked the flight on the website. It cost around US$200 round trip. It flies out of Herrera and lands in Monteria long enough to discharge and load passengers-about 1 1/2 hours each way.

robi666 says on Oct 21, 2007, 17:23: Again, great info Tom! I just tried a reservation. On the MDE - BAQ route, it seems even cheaper than ADA... john_stark says on Oct 21, 2007, 21:36: Pedro, I always tag along with one of the in-laws or one of the guys. They show me a good time. It's like being Anthony Bourdain. I know you've got important things to do hanging out in Parque Lleras every night but I think you might try a few trips into the Colombian outback. Then you'd realize that peleas de gallos and brujeria are where it's at.
