CARTAGENA NIGHT LIFE

Hey....
Wondering if someone can answer this question for me.

There is a Havana Club in Cartagena in Getsemani with a bunch of black and white pics of cuban musicians. Does anyone know the exact address and phone number of this place? Also, there is a bar in a fort going between getsemani and manga over by the convention center. Does anyone know the info and name of this place? Thanks!

I think you are talking about Cafe Havana, in Getsamani:
Cartagena de Indias
Calle Media Luna con Calle del Guerrero
Getsemani

Phone 57 315 690-2566

The other one I am not so sure. In a fort? Mr. Babilla is over there. If every one was dancing on the bar and it was really expensive and loud then that was it.
Getsemaní Calle 24 No 8B –137 Avenida El Arsenal

Hey, careful, man, there's a beverage here!

There is a nice restaurant/bar located in an old fort, right on the Getsamani side of the bridge leading into Manga. There are stairs up into the fort which now serves as a restaurant/bar. The view from the fort is toward Club de Pesca and Boca Grande. They often have music late at night blasting until the early morning hours. I'm told the name of the bar is "Casa de Cervesa". It comes highly recommended.

Cheers!

My favorite is a German restaurant run by an expat friend of mine.

I'm sorry I can't remember the name... it's been a few years. But it's at the top of the Arsenal (the end nearest Manga) and he imports authentic German food and drink... including wheat bear. He plays rock video's, and the Colombians absolutely LOVE it. Check it out on a weekend night... it's usually packed!

A typical weekend night should go something like this: wake up around 11 PM, go eat fried salchichan and a couple burgers on the street (greasy food will insulate your insides for the night of heavy drinking ahead) head over to Cafe Del Mar for a cocktail, don't eat anything, the food is terrible. Catch a taxi to La Dolce Vida and gamble until you have a couple hundred thousand pesos, to finance the rest of the evening, and get a couple free drinks while your at it. Head next door and have a couple more drinks, chat up a couple of the ridiculously hot woman, but absolutely do not leave with one. Catch a taxi to La Triplatera. buy a little bottle of Ron Medellin, the girls that were just at LDV will soon be showing up, feel free to chat them up and waste there time, but dont settle, just keep getting comfortably intoxicated. By this time, it should be geting late, stroll over to Giomata, you should be quite buzzed by this point and have a couple girls in tow. Lose them once you are inside, and switch to beer. Get annoyed with the techno music, and stumble your way over to the Miami Club, this little gem is like heaven at 5:00 in the morning, the last of the LDV girls are here, all manner of illicit activities are transpiring around you. Spend the last of your gambling winnings on something nice.......

Casa de Cerveza is only open at night. Not sure about credit cards but I would have a bunch of pesos just in case.

The German restaurant is called Leon de Bavaria and is just up the street from Casa de Cerveza.

Cheers.

Anyone know if this place is still open? La Carbonera I've been there a few times but they won't let me bring my colombian girl in. Even my wife. Because I think they have a problem with Old gringos with hot local girls. Anyone had the same experience or is it just me?

I find that most of the Bars in the Old City a bit boring and you never see the real beauties that live in the barrios....too bad, the rest are pre-pagos or depending on where you go the rich elite.....

never go to bed with someone crazier then you are, you will do it and you will regret it.......

Your on it D-man ( except for babillas, cant stand that place, pretencious cunts, no hookers and expensive drinks)....There is also a huge club out at by the mall close to barrio espana that is worth a shot on saturdays only. No prepagos, no gringos, cheap liquor and dancing, and you actually have a chance to chat up non hooker girls.
