Elektra can be fun, but they have taken "gringo pricing" to a new level. I know a guy who is a bartender there, and he admitted to me that about 50% of the workers there will try to scam the gringos if the opportunity is there. I've avoided the place my last few trips. The novia and I prefer "Mantra" on calle arsenal for our electronica. It's owned by a gringo and the prices are a lot better. On the downside, not nearly as much eye candy, but when you're with a girl already this is not so important.
Where is "Electrico"? I've not heard of that one...
Babar is good, Mr. Babilla usually has the most eye candy if you're not looking fro hookers.

Via Apia is the name of the bar. Very cosmopolitan. Nice atmosphere. Dancing sometimes with live music, but not a "dance" place. One of my favorites.

Morros 47 is out by Hotel Las Americas, in that new area of high rises. We partied there one morning after we left another club about 5AM. I think we stayed until around 8AM. I was not that impressed, the music was ok, (electronica mostly if I remember, my memory is clouded for some reason), but the clientele left a lot to be desired. Lots of druggies, male prostitutes, etc.
Also "Fragma" club should now be added to this list. It is the old "Joyslava" remodeled and reopened, with higher prices and cover charges, but good electronica.

Some friends and I went to Tucandela both Friday and Saturday this weekend and it was really good. We went to Babar first and it was good as well. After Tucandela we went to some place on the Arsenal blvd. I don't remember the name of it, but it was great! A taxi driver took us there and told us it was the only place open after 4AM. We partied there until about 8AM. Really good house music.
