Cartagena Better Than Medellin

Utopia found a good wife, but for most gringos the road to finding a wife is much better in Bogota or Cali. Most gringos will waste there time in Medellin. Nothing wrog with Paisas , just there are much better options.

It is funny, one by one, the translator shows around a girl to each gringo for a date. Which ever gringo is in town!!!


Medellin a class society also exists. Most Paisas want nothing to do with gringos. The only chance a gringo possibly has with a Paisa is to live there or stay there for months at a time. So why bother go to Bogota or Cali and find women that really you can have a relationship with a lot easier.

In Bogota you have an international attitude and atmosphere, metropolitian, girls much more open to marrying a gringo. And Cali the sheer number of different looking latinas, many more exotic latin looking.
Many Paisas look like plain American girls, and any good looking Paisas there are no shortage of well to do Medellin hombres with Mitsubishi 3000 SUVs, fincas, etc...

Agree, Medellin is overrated ... Medellin is on the way to become, in a few years, like a southern brasilian states (Parana, SP, RS, ect ...) city, where people are (or consider themself) as wealthy, educated, white skinned, the "cream of the crop" in their own country.

Cities like Curitiba , Goiania, Porto Alegre, Bauru, Ribeiro Preto, Americana, Belo Horizonte, Uberlandia, Campinas, Londrina, Floripa, ect.... (there's DOZENS of them) are clean and secure, have some excellent public transports, parcs, UNIs, awesome nightlifes, TONS of stunning and arrogants blondes latina beauties ect .....

Medellin has nothing more, few things less, like a high insecurity and an obvious lack of nightlife, and is quite overrated on this board.

Yet, and even if I've been quite disappointed by Medellin, and if I think that there's really nothing to rave about this city, I still wait to discover other places in Colombia.

Those cities are nothing compared to Pecho Grande, Perra Flaca, Ciudad Elmito, Pueblo Cochito, Verga Larga. These cities are truly out of this world. Anybody who's been disaapointed by Medellin really needs to check those out.
