Thanks in advance for the help.
Looking for the best value in a hostel in Cartagena - preferably the old city. A friend and I are coming at the beginning of July and want somewhere central, decently nice and a good place to perhaps meet some other tourists. Love the city from what I've seen so far and if there are any other tips anyone wants to share I'd be happy to take those as well.

Another place I have stayed at a few times is Hostal Santo Domingo. Rooms are around $25 a night. It is in a good location right next to Plaza Santo Domingo. Both have websites.
