I would drive to Miami to see Alfredo GutiƩrrez, but not Carlos Vives. I will however drive across town to see him.

Jim, COlX, wonnder how many PBH Posters are thinking of going to the Colombian Independence day festival here in Miami? Would you be interested in driving down? A few other posters including myself are thinking about meeting up as a group in the Festival or the Parking area for that matter(Its huge-behind FIU main campus-like right next to the Fl.Turnpike exit/entrance)? Not to say we have to stick with the group the whole festival but it would be an Oppurtunity for some posters to meet each other. Some may not want to jajajaja.Let me know if you are interested.

Mike, I think we will be going to the two fiestas in Orlando instead. I am sure the Miami one will be much nicer though.

Do you know who the acts are?

I'll have to check on that one Jim offhand I don't know but it won't be hard to find out! Good festival the week after also and that is the Peruvian Festival and they are having a Peruvian Business Exposition for 2 days prior to that. One good thing about Miami, if you miss one festival, not to worry, the following week there is always another one coming.I'm sure the Miami Festival is much much bigger due to the Huge Number of Colombians here in Miami. The last one I went to 2 years ago was a HUGE crowd but not only were many Colombians present but Cubans, Nicas and evey other Latin nationality present. Really, its probably the Biggest ONE Day festival here. Calle Ocho is Bigger(biggest) but that is a weekend deal! Well anyone can post a note here if they are interested or a new thread could be started for just for that purpose.
