Can't remember

Last night a newbie came on talking about her user boyfriend. It's gone now. Someone made a post of a couple of sayings that although were/are sad but true. One was Kindness = Weakness and I don't remember the other. ?????????????

I think it was "no good deed will go unpunished".

thanks. that was it. So far my experiences in Colombia have proved both to be true. Sad.

Good Question.....I say the Third World basically because thats were you are confronted by poverty on a daily basis. Unfortunately in most of these places there is no regard for decent people, trying to do the right thing, and working hard to improve your life. Many people want the easy life by stealing, lying and cheating, and since many gringos do have good but naive intentions, they are fresh meat and will be shamelessly used and spite out. It is a sad but true reality and worse because if just a few of these so called "poor people" figured it out they could benefit in ways that would change their lives..... I can count the exceptions on one hand.....

I'd like to add one more to the list. You can't "lead by example". I've tried it with my family, neighbors, contractors and workers. Total waste of time. What a waste.

How about this one. "common sence" applies to nothing. So clueless.
