Can I...

Hello everyone,

I am going to spend at least three months in Bogota (taking care of my friend and her new born baby, my goodness I am so god damn happy) I did not request any other visa than a tourist visa.

The other day I was thinking "ok, what am I gonna do besides taking care of my nephew?" so I was thinking about taking some creacion literaria or redaccion courses maybe at the UNAL, I don't know.

But my question is can I do that with a tourist visa? I guess I can't but it is good to hear some experts.

Thank you!

How wonderful that your friend had her baby and you're helping out dePronto! I know this is like a dream for you to spend so much time in Bogota!

Sorrry I missed seeing you in Mexico on this trip. I am back home and enjoying the weather. I can't answer your question, but I can help bump it to the Active list!

Please say hello to Gabo for me as well! And tell him that the tacos al pastor in Tlaxcala weren't as good as DF!

I did have a good time in Veracruz. I got some sun and shopped on Saturday when it rained. It was nice to getaway to warmer weather and see other parts of the country.

"And tell him that the tacos al pastor in Tlaxcala weren't as good as DF! " sorry to say this but we told you those god damn tacos in Polanco were good LOL! just kidding

did you try horchata in Veracruz? was it good? did you try cousine from Veracruz? such as pescado a la veracruzana?

Next time I am going to take you to a place where I have tried the best horchata ever! so you can also try other types of mexican food since not everything is tacos and tacos and tacos =) you'll see!!

dePronto, I had 3 weeks of Mexican food and it was a pleasure going to the cafeteria for lunch every day. We never knew what we were going to be eating, but it was really good. And I really did love Tlaxcala. I hope to go back.

We were in Veracruz for such a short amount of time and I wanted a pescado a la veracruzana, but it was too much to eat! Instead I had the pescado a la plancha - excellent!

UNAL will require a student visa. Taking care of a sick friend should get you an extension. If you tell the story about the amiga and the baby you might get the 90 days upon entry.

Thank you rumronrum and Gator as a matter of fact she is not sick, she is pregnant and she invited me to Colombia because she wants to share this beautiful experience with me, she will give birth to her first child in June but I am planning to go from May to July (I want to see her belly, I want to be there when the baby is born and take care of him some weeks and then come back to my country). I work at an international company and I asked a 3 month license (permiso). I usually get a 60 day stamp on my passport but I have read some posts that I will have to ask for an extension to DAS.

But you guys recommend that I specifically state the reason of my trip upon my entry, instead of saying "tourism". I go to bogota every six months.

Gracias
