Your example of the Mexican Vs. the American does not make sense. First of all your generalization are way too broad. An "average white American guy" isn't brought up with maids in a big house. They live in a trailer park in Ohio. This is also true of the Mexican, the average Mexican guy is not picking mangoes off the tree in the jungle, he is driving a taxi in Mexico City. What are you comparing anyway? Are you talking about a physical fight? FYI there are "white people" who are Mexican. Mexican is not a race, but a nationality.
Your comparision to the animal world does not hold any wieght either. I don't think you can win the Nature vs. Nuture argument by using the salmons behavior. There are plenty of animals that no matter how many years in "domestication" never lose their instictual drive. Do you own a cat?

Dog packs and other musings Domestic dogs certainly retain the pack mentality. The family is the pack and if the dog is not taught by the pack what their place is in the pecking order they will rapidly assume the position of the alpha dog. It is really a shame that you find such a huge bond between owner but so very few have taken the time to make their dog a "good citizen." And Dreams! The encyclopedia of decyphering your dreams is used every morning by my Colombian sweetie. Dreams are debated and they are of especial interest if numbers are involved as that is a message about the daily lottos, And damned if my sweetie doesn't win an inordinate amount of times. I'm even asked about my dreams and I'm allowed to speak as long as Janine, on Muy Buenos Dias, is not on the tube doing the horoscope along with the color of clothes we will wear for the day!!!

My grandmother thought she could predict the future by reading the stain left on the bottom of a coffee (tinto) cup, in our case was our totuma cup. The old broad was freaking crazy! She predicted I was gonna be a great doctor. Doctor my ass, and I turned out to be a total loser.
Clarification, she thought I was gonna be a great witch doctor (curero) not the Marcus Welby, MD type.
