CAN ANY LET ME KNOW OF A SITE THAT WOULD SHIP PERFUME TO COLOMBIA FROM THE U.S. - HAS ANYONE HAD EXPERIENCES??

I'm trying to look for a website that might ship a present of perfume to Medellin from the U.S. - I've used a site to send flowers but not sure about perfume?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could buy the perfume and send it yourself via servientrega in Miami. Google the servientrega in Miami.

thanks vladirio. I rather find a site though were i can buy it and they can ship it to medellin.

I heard fragrancex.com might....it said though i might be subject to import fees going into colombia?

Why not see if someone in Medellin would help you out? It could save you lots of headaches.

It's a good business idea, flowers, chocolates, and perfume, delivery business in Medellin.

Send it with Clyde17. Even if your girlfriend comes to the door in a sexy bra and panties, she'll be safe around him.

On a serious note, you are liable for paying the import duty which is probably around 28% of declared value. Some people on this site use 'gray market' shippers that may not collect the full duty. It's probably a "shipper beware" thing - one guy reported his expensive laptop being held up for a couple of weeks, others report no problems.

Let a local do it. For the same price as international shipping fees (or less), I know a half dozen people who would gladly hand deliver it to the gift receiver, and take a photo for you of the happy person.

I use www.1vende.com just select English then select Colombia here is the link right to the site http://www.1vende.com/stores/co/index.cfm?refwebid=0

I have sent a cake on a birthday and basically this site has connections with shops and bakery's in the city of interest. The cake was fresh, wrapped nicely and came with a card. It was about $30.00 not bad at all. The family was impressed they all gathered ate it and sent me pictures of how it arrived.

I am guessing the rest of the orders on the site work the same which I will use at a later date.

hi CatGirl and Kat1 - thanks for the advice. I will check out the site but she loves Ralph Lauren Style when she was in ny. I just gave it to her cousin to deliver it during the holidays.

I could go one day but concerned about my safety....:) :(

What safety? Are you in a wheel-chair?

Robert - Not in a wheel chair but let's be honest and put yourself in someone else's shoes if you were not from colombia. I know its not like it was 12 years ago and im sure its a beautiful country -that i want to visit. I'm a survivor of 9-11 that day in the World trade center (tower 2-70th floor) and feel life is short and you must travel and have fun but I'm a bit concerned about my safety if going to medellin.

Medellin Traveler says on Jan 14, 2008, 19:16:

Mike19 -
I understand your safety concerns. I went solo to Medellin without knowing a soul on my first trip. Now, I have many new friends in Medellin who open up their homes to me, offering me a place to stay in their homes, and they always make sure I have more than enough to eat.

If you want, I can deliver the Ralph Lauren perfume on my trip next week. You can pay me via PayPal and I will be more than happy to be of service.

I appreciate that medellin traveler but I rather ship it from a website -----maybe a colombian website. Every site I go to in the US states I would have to pay a import and possible tax fees?

Does that mean 10,000 usd...haha

medellin traveler - my friend lives in el poblado close to El tesoro mall.

Mike19 says on Jan 15, 2008, 15:30:

medellin traveler - I just watched the link u posted about scopolamine. Thanks alot for sharing it - very interesting. Now im more concerned my ass would get hit with scopo in el poblado....hahaha
