I saw the post about Voip calling for free and tried it:
http://www.voipstunt.com/en/index.html
The quality was excellent. Spoke to people in Barranquilla / Medellin / Bogota and Ibague.
You do need to start with ~ 10 dollars credit in your account. Which you can charge to any credit card. I chose American Express in case I wanted to cancel the charges. But after about 4 hours of calls I was hooked. You can call to about 50 countries free of charge. The only catch is you can only call land lines (cell phones cost). You can also call from Colombia to USA for free too!

Brian858 says on Apr 5, 2006, 14:59: Correction not *FREE* - It's ~ 10 cents per day. It's actually 10 Euros which is about 10 dollars. Which will remain on your account for 120 days. You can use that balance to call cell phones or other countries that are not free. If you don't want to pay the 10 Euros you can still use the software for free and make calls to any of the Free countries but your calls will be dropped after 1 minute and you will need to call back. This gets a little frustrating after a few minutes. I've already gotten 10 Euros worth of calls in 2 days. If you haven't tried the service I don't see the point in saying anything negative about it. So the company makes 10 Euros from someone who possibly calls Colombia 10 hours a day for 120 days. Sounds like a bargain to me unless you work for ATT.

Colombo Canadiense says on Apr 11, 2006, 22:51: SCAM INDEED I tried voipstunt, quality very good, however there is not such a thing as FREE CALLS. After loading my account with 10 euros and using it for 3 days, It says I've reached the maximum number of free calls. I'm now only allowed to make toll calls like cellphones in Colombia. Brian858 says on Apr 11, 2006, 23:13: How many hours a day were you calling for? I've used it for the past 7 days. Calling to various cities in Colombia and using about 2 - 6 hours per day. The software will automatically cut off the call at the 1 hour mark. The message will say "reached the maximum number of free calls". I've just re-dialed and continued on for another hour....etc... I did have a problem last Saturday calling to Barranquilla. I could hear them but they were having problems hearing me. I just called the next day and the problem has cleared. I still have 10 Euros for a balance and I've called 30 + hours to Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Spain, Japan, Germany & UK. I still have 113 days left to call unlimited to 50 + countries. It doesn't seem like a scam to me.
