Cali I left Cali just over a week ago, I was there for 3 weeks, no problems, some neighbourhoods are dangerouse, just as in any large City.

Seek local trusted advice on places you visit beforehand and you should have few if any problems.

i am from Cali Hello. I am from Cali and until 6 months ago i was living there. Is a safe city, just try not to go to downtown or poor areas but yourself. Stay in the nice side of the city, go to the shopping centers, and movies but try not to go to downtown. Do not ride buses just take taxis and call them by phone. If you are going to stay in a hotel , people in the front desk can call the taxi for you.
Don't be affraid, go and enjoy

I was in Cali last month, and I look the opposite of Colombian.

Never did I feel unsafe and everybody was extreamly welcoming. Of course I was visiting friends and they knew the area.

Cali Brad 216,
I am from Australia and was in Cali lastweek ,it is a great city and is safe, people are very friendly and getting around is easy,I prefer taxis as they are very cheap and quick.
If it is your first time to Cali, always try to get around with someone till you get to know your way around.

with more info? Thanks. pnoud at mindspring.com
I was in Cali in May, and am returning for a week at the end
of July. I always felt safe. I am renting a car and will always
be with my girlfriend or her family.

Cali Country Clubs
Are there some kind of upscale Country Clubs in Cali, where a tourist could go for a monthly fee, with some nice outdoor swimming pool and a pleasant environment (and Calenas too !!)

Thanks
