Cali this weekend

I need some advice/suggestions:

My wife and I are going to Cali this weekend for some shopping and entertainment both of which are really poor in Armenia where we live. So I would apprciate some suggestions about:

** Where we can stay overnight Saturday. Nothing fancy, but a nice place like an old hotel, a finca or a moderatley priced hotel.

** Places where we can shop for Christmass stuff...good quality.

** We need a kennel for our dog becasue we doubt any hotels would let us keep her in a room. The only decent kennel here in Armenia is booked for the weekend.

** Saturday night? Any ideas for entertainment? We are not night clubbers or motelers, but more of concerts, theatre, etc.

** On Sunday we want to see some sights. What is a must see thing to do or see?

** Any other ideas?

Your ideas will really be appreciated. We plan on going to Cali more oftern so what we do not get to this weekend we can do later when her parents visit.

I'm not much of a shopper, so other than Chipe Chape and Avenida Sexta, I can't help you there. I don't think you'll find alot of theater either. But on Sunday afternoon, I would head to barrio San Antonio. It's a mile or so north of Plaza Ciacedo, a sort of artist / Bohemian barrio, with the oldest church in Cali at the top of the hill. Sunday afternoons, the hill around the church is full of people (families, amantes, ect) hanging out and there's a great little pizza joint just below the church (Pizza San Antonio, I think).

Hola!

Palmetto Mall rules for easy night life. It has movies, bars, and food!

We also like the Jardin Plaza! We shop at HomeCenter and Carrefour while there!

Baby Beef is available at both malls in the food court!
