Cali nightlife, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Can anyone suggest any good spots for Cali nightlife on Thursday, Friday, Saturday´s. I will be here this week end and need some rumba after visiting my overly religious family.

does anyone know what night the place called "Orange" is good.

thanks

Have not been there for a while, but when I was on Thursday Fri and Sat I went to Chippichape at about 5 pm and drank in the Reggae and Pop bar inside the shopping centre. Later on Thuirs I went to the London Bar near Ave Sexta - packed, then to a big club that is like a sort of underground flinstone set - name escapes me. Note it was only good on Thurs - went back friday and it sucked.

On Fri after reggae and pop I went to Prada (there is another big one across the roand called Jungle - these are further out past chippichape.

On Sat I went to Mr Mojitos.

and on sun arvo there is a great pl;ace called Casco Vieja. You will have to ask how to get there its a way out from Ave sexta area. Starts at about 4 or 5 pm.

I went to a video bar (no dancing) and it was packed. I had a great time and met some nice people. I just stopped some people at unicentro and asked them where I can hang out. The place I went to is called "el faro" and it is located in the south.

Smile if you are a thinker!

I just got back from Cali. If you are looking to hang with expatriates/other English speakers then London Bar or Blues Brothers will be the places. If you want some more Latin flavor, then Kukurmakara - (Calle 28 N No 2 Bis-97) great eye candy and great atmosphere with good bands. After midnight, Jala Jala is a great place to go in groups.

If you’re looking for more South Beach style bar then Maui (Avenida 9N, Granada) is the place! Bright red sofas and lots of tables. Great ambience!!!!

For after hours & salsa, Juanchito is the place and you should experience once. The 3 most popular are Chango, Citron, and Samba Caramba. Changos is older and not as swanky but has Colombian Character. I like Citron as it plays all kinds of music, Samba Caramba mostly Salsa.

If you are in the South, Aventura Plaza gets hopping on the weekends with many different bars and usually a live band.

Miguel - I think you are referring to El Bochinche. It is open 24 hours but most of the customers arrive at 2 - 3 AM after dancing at the discos. You must try the local "lengua a la criolla" (onion seasoned Beef tongue). Located in the 13th st and 15.
