Anyone know of the penalties you have to pay if you move, and have them shut down your internet? They said you signed a contract, and have to pay the remainder of the monthly payments. Otherwise they come after the co-signer. Even so much as to put a lean on some of the co-signers property. Is that true? Seems like alittle too high of a price to have internet. With the dollar/peso deal.

It is important to read the clause, it might be just a "salario minimo" (485.000 COP). Read the contract, it must be stated there. And let us know.

strata2woman says on Jun 15, 2008, 12:22: I don't know about Cali, but I had a 3-1 [broadband, cable and phone service] package deal year contract with Metrotel en Barranquilla, and I had to comeback to the states and needed to cancel it, and this is what I did. I paid a penalty $175.000 for early cancellation and that was it. I still had 8 months left in the contract and my monthly payments were around $200.000. You probably need to contact your service provider and see about an early termination solution. I wish you well!
