cali christmas lights

so here we go again, the battle of the best illuminated city during the festive season, I must say ( yes I must) the walk along the rio cali now the lights are on is very pretty I think they should leave them all year round its gives an almost child like fantasy wonderland feel which uplifts the spirit, obviously it does nothing to help the homeless that sleep along the river bank but hey god works in mysterious ways

hope you enjoy, this year the lights go a little further because of the MIO construction they follow the route and with trepidation I can almost say more of the river walks are safer to enjoy especialy north of CAM, almost as far as the bus terminal, Cali ! a romantic walk along the river, it could happen, hope so.

december 8th is the big opening night. rent a taxi van and have him drive you and your friends/family all over the various barios that evening. stay the hell out of the center of town. the traffic there is really bad.

end it with a stop at one of the overlooks.

The lights of Cali are just Great. Can't believe they do that by hanging wire ovr the river. One of the best light shows I've ever seen. If in Cali for the Feria, just remember, "People Everwhere", taxis are hard to get. It will be crowded.

I live in Armenia and the lights are so beautiful in the city center. Every Friday night they also have free music by the Bank of the Republic.

Does anyone know about the fight display in Quimbaya in December 7? Is it worth seeing? I have been told it should not be missed.

It is not life that matters, but the journey.

Have only seen Parque Nacional (which is Earth) and La Plaza de Usaquén (which is Water). Must admit the Earth concept del parque nacional is totally missed... Still cute!
Can't wait to see the cali light they are always so colourful! Will have to wait till the 29th buaaah.
