My wife and I spent Wednesday night at Cali airport, we got there at 9:30 pm on CO 820 from Houston, and since we were going CLO-BOG at 6am we decided to tough it out without a hotel room.
It was a very nice experience, Avianca opens for business at 5am. Salsa music all night long!
Avianca flys MD-83s, so standard carry on luggage must go as checked baggage. We were allowed one 45 lb suitcase
and one 35 pound carry-on each. We sent another 50 lb suitcase CLO-BOG-SMR for 28,300 pesos using Deprisa located right necxt to the airport, open 24 hours!
I just picked it up this morning at SMR airport. If I had tried to carry it as excess baggage it would have cost a hundred bucks!
We were in Houston for 7 weeks, now we are back home in Santa Marta, yippee!!

untreated says on Jan 20, 2006, 13:51: Yes of course But we didn't have a reservation and it was full. Cost is 86.000 pesos, so we saved it. So if you're overnighting at Cali airport don't forget to reserve your room, I can post the phone number if anybody is interested.
